One of the best sounding modern cars is surely the naturally aspired E92 BMW V8 M3. It has an extremely fast revving V8 engine that turns over at more than 8300 revolutions per minute when it crashes into the rev limiter. The Germans surely took their time to develop the right exhaust note for it. On the other hand, we have and old grandpa that’s as loud as they come, a 1969 Dodge Charger.
