Slammed 1968 Dodge Charger: Quite Possibly the Coolest Build Out There
Steve is a talented builder who turned his passion into the Muscle Rod Shop, and he takes a very different approach to designing and constructing cars. This 1968 Dodge Charger is his, and it packs a long list of custom modifications.
Engine and Exhaust Details
Motivation comes from a Chrysler 389 ci big block, matched to a stock pan, a melting pump, COMP Cams lifters, a Weiand dual-plane intake manifold, a Mopar Performance distributor, Doug's 1.75 inch headers and a stock water pump. Spent gases exit through a custom X-pipe and twin 3 inch MagnaFlow mufflers.
Suspension, Wheels and Tires
Up front the suspension uses rebuilt stock components, and the rear also runs a rebuilt stock setup, though with raised spring perches. Centerline Lazer II wheels measure 18 x 8 at the front and 18 x 8 with 20 x 12 at the rear, wrapped in Nitto Invo tires sized 245/40ZR18 front and 315/35ZR20 rear.
