Tig Brazing Process Vs. Tig Welding! Which One Is Stronger!?
Educational videos have been appearing on YouTube for a while now and many times they really have a lot to offer, they teach us many new skills and sometimes help us polish the ones we thought we knew perfectly.
Today’s video is about Tig brazing process on one side compared to the Tig welding process on the other side, in order for a person who apparently knows allot about both of the processes, to teach us which ones is better in which situation and why.
Amongst other things, in the video he explains the numbers about the tensile strengths for both methods, and also tell us the basic difference. According to him, TIG brazing is using a filler rod which is melting at temperatures much lower than the base metal.
He also tells us that if you are able to braze the joints with materials all the way, this can create a strong bond, but if you only weld form one side it can be pretty weak.
Check out the video and maybe you should even grab a notepad since this guy has a lot to say about these techniques and we are pretty sure you won’t be able to remember it all.
