Have you seen the 2015 Yamaha YZF-R1 and YZF-R1M
If you didn’t have the chance to look at the new models of Yamaha, the 2015 YZF-R1 and YZF-R1M, you will have that opportunity today.
The YZF-R1 has the same inline 4 cylinder 998 cc engine that was used by its predecessors, and this engine delivers 200 HP and 112.4 Nm 82.9 ft-lbs of torque. This bike is priced at $16,490. Yamaha called this “the most MotoGP inspired bike ever”. That is because of the wealth of advanced electronics onboard that includes a six-axis IMU – Inertial Measurement Unit that uses accelerometer and gyros to measure pitch, yaw, roll and acceleration. Working together with the Yamaha Ride Control ECU, the result is a lengthy list of handling tweaks including user-programmable and adjustable power delivery modes, full-throttle launch control, and lean angle sensitive traction control.
The R1M is different from the R1 only with a few extra perks, including a fully electronic, lots of carbon fiber, a data logging GPS system that uses an Android and iOS app and Wi-Fi, and active Ohlins suspension that works together with the IMU. This bike is priced at $21,990.
